Belgium France Attacks

More than 30 people have reportedly been killed and many more injured following a terrorist attack which occurred in Brussels airport.

It has been reported that the Islamic State (IS) have claimed responsibility for the bombings, which took place just a day after the Spring Equinox.

So far it has been reported that 34 people have died in the incident, and 200 have been injured.

Two blasts occurred at Zaventem airport, while a third happened close to EU buildings at the Metro.

The suspects are still thought to be at large, and security measures have been stepped up at airports across Europe, including in the UK.

A statement has reportedly been issued by IS via its Amaq agency stating that it carried out the attacks and that these attacks will escalate in the future.

The Belgium authorities have also stated that they found a passport in the incident that was not destroyed by the bombs.

Earlier this morning it was announced that another bomb that failed to go off was later detonated.
