Anti-police brutality posters have appeared at bus stops

The high-profile cases of police brutality across the US and UK has prompted a wave of protests in recent weeks.

However, in London recently, those demonstrations have taken on a whole new dimension.

Anti-police brutality posters have appeared at bus stops all over the city last week, condemning the police force for the way they target individuals suspected of possessing drugs. The posters also condemned the shooting of Mark Duggan in 2011, which led to widespread riots at the time.

There was also a poster put on display outside Scotland Yard, the headquarters of the Metropolitan Police.

One such message read: “You’re 28 times more likely to be stopped and searched in London if you don’t have white skin, because we’re still really racist”.

STRIKE! magazine has taken the credit for the posters.
