The Akashic Times is an online, global newspaper which was founded by investigative journalists in Yorkshire, who formerly worked for or alongside national newspapers and TV networks.
We are an independent newspaper with a strong focus on human rights issues, national sovereignty, law and politics.
Our editorial team is made up of two full-time reporters, along with a number of freelance bloggers and volunteers who contribute on an ad-hoc basis.
The term ‘Akashic’ is derived from primeval folklore where it was believed that the ‘Akashic Records’ contained documentation about all things in existence. In that sense, the Akashic Times is a record of current affairs and news from across the globe.
Our motto is “less trivia, more facts”. Here at the Akashic Times you won’t find updates on the X Factor or what Rhianna had for breakfast, but you will find thought-provoking and insightful news, views and blogs about stuff that really matters.
The Akashic Times is a politically neutral organisation with no time for censorship and political correctness. We tell it as it is through the lens of the British public and we pride ourselves in getting to the heart of stories that people care about.
We actively encourage participation from members of the public – so whether you love us or you hate us – tell us why! Feel free to leave comments on our site, or send in letters and we will strive to publish as many as possible.
In essence, the Akashic Times is what the news industry used to be – before it sold out to big business.
Unlike other news media, we also allow individuals who may not otherwise have a voice to tell their local stories and inform others about events which are occurring in their areas.
So if you have an important story to tell which you think may be of interest to our readers, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us on editor@akashictimes.co.uk.
