A controversial new health event is set to shed light on why cooking your fruits and veg may not be such a good idea afterall.
‘Heal Yourself By Going Raw’ is a groundbreaking new conference which will reveal exactly how and why changing your diet may change your life.
Are we being told the truth about common ailments such as diabetes and high cholesterol? Indeed, is it possible to rid ourselves of these illnesses completely? Traditional medicine says no, but a number of speakers at this conference will aim to challenge this worldview and present their own research and findings.
The event will include a number of seminars and workshops that will take place at Askham Grange in York, UK.
Being in good health is something that most of us take for granted. But it is one of those things where as soon as you lose it, you will do everything and anything in your power to regain it. Visitors from all over the UK are expected to attend the event.
Sandra Nundy is one of the organisers of the event. She is a health professional with a special interest in health and holistic therapies and explained how she was inspired to set up the conference as a way for the public to learn more about health.
She said: “I have been an advocate of natural health and healing since getting my health back using natural organic products seven years ago, and exploring complementary therapies in relation to how the body heals. I was looking for a venue in York to hold a small ‘gathering’ of people interested in hearing a talk about raw food, and how they can make small changes in what we eat to improve our health.
“I wanted to bring professionals from the many diverse complementary and alternative therapies together to share ideas and collaborate. I can only tell you how I feel. Come and hear what the speakers have to say and find out for yourself.”
A range of topics which come under the umbrella of alternative healing will be discussed to inform and stimulate discussion amongst professionals, and all of those who are interested in raw food and natural healing.
Not only will it be a great forum for visitors and delegates to network with other like-minded professionals, it will also be of interest to everyone wishing to know more about raw food and natural healing.
We often think bad health is something that is unavoidable in some cases, or in later life, and for those of us that are unlucky enough to succumb to illness, we resign ourselves to weeks or in the worst case scenario, even months or years of doctors visits or hospital appointments.
Most of us think that the medical profession has all of the answers and that there is only a limited amount of things we can say or do in order to regain our health.
But what if we were wrong? What if we could radically transform our bodies and our minds by changing our diet and the way we think to the point where we were able to combat even the most serious of illnesses?
The majority of mainstream doctors will tell you that it isn’t possible and advise you to stick to your five fruits and veg a day to try and prevent illnesses.
But is that enough? All of these questions and more will be up for discussion at the conference.

The event starts from 9am on the Saturday and continues until 3.30pm.
