Finally people seem to be waking up to the reality of how big corporations are controlling what we eat and have started to refuse to eat the processed muck that comes out of our industrial plants. In recent months it has been reported that there is now a shift towards organic food, and consumers are now seeking more health-conscious alternatives.
In the US alone, the organic food market surpassed its quarterly projections, and as a result has seen a rapid growth in profits across the board. This can only be good news for the fight against Monsanto modified crops, and other GMO outlets.
Laura Batcha, executive director and CEO of Organic Trade Association (OTA) said in a press statement, “The U.S. organic market is experiencing strong expansion, with organic food and farming continuing to gain in popularity. Consumers are making the correlation between what we eat and our health, and that knowledge is spurring heightened consumer interest in organic products.
“The entire organic industry needs to rally around helping consumers better understand and appreciate all the values that certified organic brings to the table. Consumer education is critical to grow the organic industry.”
It now seems that the ever-growing negative news reports on the big corporations including McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, have started to pay off. These corporations who have dominated the food and drink industry for years have started to face major financial challenges, as people start to buy less and keep away from consuming these products, forcing countries like Iceland to close down all its MacDonald’s outlets. It’s only a matter of time before everyone becomes health conscious and refuses to be poisoned by manufactured industrial food.
